Debbie and her husband, Mitchell Miles, have been maried for 29 years, have two married daughters and five grandchildren. Rev. Miles is the Pastor of Full Faith Church where Debbie is the music director. In addition to teaching piano at Missouri Southern State College, she travels regularly speaking to churches, youth and women's groups. Debbie Miles also has been active as a volunteer court advocate for domestic violence victims in Jasper County. Debbie says, "My year of service as Miss America was very gratifying and a most memorable experience. My faith, commitment to the church and service as being a witness for Jesus Christ is a very exciting and exhilarating experience."
