Shawntel is an avid believer that we need to prepare today's students for tomorrow's workplace. For this reason, she travels on a national speaking tour entitled "School to Work: Reinventing America's Work Force." Ms. Smith has been appointed National School to Work Ambassador to America's Youth by the United States Departments of Education and Labor. She is also a member of the National School to Work Advisory Council. Shawntel was recently added to the United States Junior Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Americans List. She was honored at a private awards ceremony in Washington, DC, in January, 1998. Criteria for receiving the honor includes being an exceptional young person who represents the best, brightest, and one of the most inspirational leaders America has to offer. Kudos to Shawntel!
